Samuel T. Herring is the singer and frontman of Future Islands. Originally from eastern North Carolina, Herring has collaborated with countless artists in many forms – as an arrogant, narcissistic German singer in Art Lord and the Self-Portraits, as a singing snail in The Snails, and as an MC partner to Madlib under his rap alias, Hemlock Ernest, among others.
Recent collaborations have included DJ Shadow and BADBADNOTGOOD.
